How to make safe Scum Cleaner solution

Since Covid-19 outbreak happened around the world at the beginning of 2020, I've been venturing into more cleaning around the house.

The worst was when I had to clean the brass door handles on my bathroom door.  Brasso was my only option and it made me rather sick that I had to stretch out the process into bits each day over a week.

I rather enjoy cleaning my sink, shower trays & glass panels, kitchen benchtops, stove, I thought it was dangerous that cleaning becomes an addictive activity.  I suspect Cleaning Anonymous might become a thing after this virus passes.

Anyway, one of the simplest recipe I kept on making and pouring into my spray bottles is this really safe and simple recipe that does not even require weights.  But if you must:

SCUM CLEANER SOLUTION

454 grams Citric Acid

470 mL water

Method:

Mix the two ingredients above until there is no more citric acid granules left.  Add a little bit more water if you still find some granules.

You can add whatever essential oils you want, but I like to keep it cheap.  They're all going down the drain anyway, might as well save your oils for some other recipes.

This recipe does not pick up oils so you won't be able to wash your dishes with it.  Trust me, I've tested it.  For oil related cleaning, you'll need my coconut soap.  The two should be used separately.

Happy experimenting!
